Each Memorial Day, my neighborhood encourages us to celebrate the holiday at home.  Kensington neighbors get together and have an old fashioned parade down our main street (Marlborough Drive).  This includes the Irish Dance School, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Rescued Grey Hounds, Kids, Moms and Dad’s play groups and several replica and authentic Shelby automobiles.  The parade starts at 10:30 a.m.

 

The Shelby’s will meet back at the house around noon.  That’s when the BBQ will begin.  There’s a pool and Jacuzzi, so bring your swimsuit and a towel.  Everyone is welcome, kids, adults, aunts, uncles, cousins. 

 

Directions:  Take I-15 to Adams Ave, go east on Adams a couple of blocks; turn left at the light onto Marlborough DR (if you come for the parade turn one block before the light onto Kensington Drive.  Park anywhere and walk over one block to Marlborough).  Go down Marlborough approx. 0.5 miles, turn right onto Middlesex.  The house is approximately 0.3 miles down the street on the left-hand side.
