On
Friday nights a time warp hits downtown Escondido! The streets are filled with
strolling people of all ages, while a parade of pre-1974 vintage cars slowly cruise
up and down Grand Avenue. All kinds of vintage cars—from American Hot Rods,
Classics, Antiques, and Customs—help make seven blocks of Escondido the place
to be on Friday nights! The Shelby Club has South Broadway reserved for our club
and the Pantera club.
Come
join the fun a stroll down Grand. There are many great restaurants in the vicinity.
This
year the organizers are enforcing the pre 74 rule for cars. So
S. Broadway will be reserved for early cars only.
The
organizers have reserved a new area for newer cars. It is on Grand Ave between
Orange and Escondido Blvd. The area has about 25 parking spaces. If
you are interested in participating this same night with a newer Shelby/Mustang/Viper/GT
or whatever, RSVP to Dave Ham
ASAP so that we can
make the reservation.
